Green Lake
Green Lake
Green Lake will always hold a special place in my heart for being my first home in Seattle. A friend of a friend graciously lent me her beautiful condo in Green Lake for two months while I moved across the country, found a job, and found a new place to live. I would walk the lake every day to help clear my head of all the stressors that came with moving to a new city, not knowing many people, not having a job lined up, moving on from my past, and not knowing what my future held. I took the reference photo for this painting four years ago while standing in the sun, admiring all the beautiful lily pads. I was so grateful for a new adventure and a chance to start something all my own-even if it’s was scary. Reproduced on beautiful thick watercolor paper, this giclée print looks just like the original watercolor painting I made.
